66th Araw ng Daniel C. Mantos

The beauty of a community can truly be seen through the creativity and diversity of its people. What better way to experience this through their festival?

Team Sicpao was fortunate enough to have witnessed the celebration of the 66th Araw ng Daniel C. Mantos last April 7, 2014. Being new to the community, these activities served as a warm welcome for our team, especially when we were asked to be part of festivities. It became ouravenue for immersing with the people.

We were fortunate enough to have witnessed the raw talent and creativity of the residents through the street dance competition, which showcased the residents' flair for combining talent with ingenuity. Seeing everyone from the different puroks, from all walks of life and from all ages participate in the street dance competition was indeed inspiring and reflects the people's spirit of unity. But dancing isn' he only thing impressive in the competition; the colorful costumes have also been impressive!

One of the highlighs of he celebration was also the rice festival, which allowed residents to creatively showcase all their delicious rice delicacies. Since we were given the opportunity to try everything, the rice festival is indeed one of our favorites! Who knew rice could taste so good in so many different ways? Lami kaayo! :) It also shows just how generous and kind the residents of Barangay DCM are.

Craving for adventure and adrenaline rush? The motocross competition did not disappoint! With different competitors from different places, the competition was fun and thrilling to witness. Team Sicpao was honored to have been there to serve as the medical team in case of emergencies.

Indeed, Team Sicpao is looking forward to celebrating more fiestas with the residents. This celebration is one of the many things that make us look forward to coming back. Til next Araw, DCM! Mu-balik jud mi! :)
