IBantay Iru 143 Campaign: Kaalaman para sa Kaligtasan Kontra Rabies Health Teaching
A 2-day purok-to-purok health teaching. Each day of the said event had different target populations.
On the first day, April 8, 2015, the health teaching was given to 16 barangay officals and purok leaders at the DCM Gymnasium.
On the following day, the same health teaching was given at different sites for the residents from different puroks of Barangay DCM. A total of 191 residents attended the said purok-to-purok health teaching at 4 different locations, namely Puroks 3, 6, 5 and DCM gymnasium.
The said health teachings included information on rabies, its mode of transmission, signs and symptoms, wound management, as well as changing misconceptions about rabies and traditional home remedies, and responsibilities of pet owners and penalties (RA 9482).
